I am a BIG fan of Kim’s portraits so I decided to create one on a card to show you how you can also use only parts of the dolls on your creations.

Stamps: Doll Head Portrait – Paperbabe Stamps
Dies: Doll Head Portrait Dies & Doll Body Die – Paperbabe Stamps
Templates: Aleesia – Paperbabe Stamps
DPs: Vintage – Paperbabe Stamps
Colouring: Copics and Polychromos

I stamped and die cut my face and ears with the Doll Head Portrait on Copic friendly paper. For the hair, I used the Aleesia template on a dark brown paper and added strand of hair using my Polychromos. The clothes were cut on the new Paperbabe Stamps Vintage papers using the Doll Body Die. I put all my elements on a beige paper from the paper set and I created dimension by layering my elements using roam squares. As a final step, I added a sentiment from the Flourish & Grow set.

All the new products are available in the store HERE!

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Hopping! Hugs,
Delphine xx

    Love her x

I love seeing the doll being used in a different way as you wouldn’t necessarily want to use the whole doll on all your projects. The faces are gorgeous as always.

  4. Wow, I love the way you used the doll die cuts and papers to create this card! Such an amazing make and a different way to showcase how this new release can be used – amazing 😁. Happy and creative wishes! Hugs, Jo x

  5. Fabulous portrait, I am not sure I completely understand the concept. Is the face a stamp and the hair a stamp? Love the results.

    • Thank you, it’s seems complicated when you are not used to the products, but it is not 😉 Here the face is a stamp and a die, the hair is not a stamp, it’s a plastic template and you draw around the template to have the shape of the hair, so you can draw on any type of paper. The rest of the body is made with dies. There are lots of face stamps and hair templates in the shop already, but here the difference is that you can actually create layers and join them so you can have an “articulated” doll. I did not use the jointed idea here, but I put my elements on foam to create dimension instead of a “flat” image on a card if that makes sense ;)??
