Hello everyone!
It’s a special weekend at Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps, with tutorials, videos and challenges on the Facebook group using the Here Comes the Sun set. I’m sharing the colouring video of my stormy scene featuring an image from the set – it is not as sped up as usual so you can see better and stop the video when you need to:
The full list of markers used is available at the end of the video 🙂
Thank you very much for stopping by! Hugs,
Delphine xx
hey Delphine, I’m one of the KKS followers and just saw this stormy sky method used on a card on FB- they provided the link to your site and I’ve just watched the video! Amazing!! What I’m wondering is HOW did you know to use a brown copic under the deep blue storm cloud? HOW did you know to use a BV under the yellows of the duck to get it to shade? HOW did you know to use a gray color for the shading on the raincoat? All this time, I’ve been just repeating the color until it’s dark enough but this method would shure keep me from using up so much ink. If you could advise me I’d appreciate it?
Thanks so much, Carolyn
Hello Carolyn, First I apologize for getting back to you so late!! I’ve been running everywhere and I’m “a bit” behind… in everything haha!! For shading, greys are great, especially when you don’t own a ton of markers, and you can shade with all your greys – but most of the time, you would tend to use Warm Greys under warm colours, and Cold Greys under cold colours – but then if you have a cold grey at hand it works under a warm colour too – that’s what I did for the raincoat.
For the rest, the method is called Underpainting – you can find a short explanation here:

And for lots of ideas of combos:

Then the idea is to test and try what works for you!
I hope that helps! And sorry again for teh delay!
Hugs,
Delphine xx
PS: And huge thanks for your kindness and support, I am truly touched!!!
